I'm wearing prosthetic ears, and cosmetic contact lenses. The photo looks like I have wings - I dont, theyre just hung on my mirror behind me. Makeup is a blend of Paradise (by Mehron) cake makeup (the orange) and Mehron oil makeup (the alabaster). Thundercats hooooooooo Another night out creation, this time the theme was Retro TV Shows. The wrist/ankle discs are made of foam, and covered in brown veggie leather (which I also used for the accents, harness, and bracers!) The wig was purchased from an anime wigs site, which I then trimmed and styled, putting the spots in with brown sharpie. For the feet, I modified a pair of Vibram barefoot running shoes by adding fur on top, and claws. The collar has a layer of sculpture wire inside for support. The main parts of the costume are a very unforgiving orange/brown ultrasuede from the upholstery department, with some added orange spandex inserts for comfort. I wanted to interpret her a little bit in my 3D recreation, and decided I would do fur accents for the upper arms and lower legs, and paint the rest of myself up. I fell in LOVE with Cheetara's redesign, and she is such a great character. Really, I can't remember the last time I was *this* excited for a costume.
I finally debuted it at Boston Comic Con (2012) on the Sunday of the con. Secondly, some details on the costume! I've been working on this thing for months. So firstly, some plugs for the awesome photographer that took this photo, Bill Hinsee! Here is a preliminary pic of my Cheetara cosplay from the new Thundercats series! <3
